Psalms 119:2

Since my divine intervention, which was 738 days ago, I pray read the Bible and meditated on the scriptures almost daily. It has helped me strengthen my morals and values. Without a strong foundation of self-reflection and God I would not be here today and for that I am forever blessed.

Isaiah 55:11

The word that jumps out at me is void. I had a huge void within me that I filled with alcohol, sugar, and other foods wrapped with self-pity. When I accepted I needed help God was there to pick me up. The Lord filled the void with love and good intentions. I am forever grateful for a second chance at life, but this time following God’s Will, not my own will.

John 5:39

I have a plethora of self-help books. About 1 year ago I started reading the Bible, now I don’t really need the self help books. The Bible is a one stop shop for me to learn and grow. On this day 2 years ago my life changed dramatically and I am so blessed for the continuing transformation. 🙏

Psalm 37:39

In times of trouble and in times of happiness God is with us. The Lord equips us with the fortitude and love we need to push thru the hard times and celebrate the great times. God has taught me to look for the good in all bad situations. We all have the freedom to choose between good or evil. I choose good and denounce evil. Let the light shine!

2 Samuel 22:33-34

“God is my strong fortress”- God kept me safe for years even tho my faith in God was nearly absent. I am so blessed today. I walked thru life angry, disgruntled, and feeling confused. Kind of like roaming the desert for 31 years in a constant state of confusion. I always asked why me? Why did God give me such a self-destructive disease? I was asking the wrong why or looking at it from the wrong perspective. God gave me this disease because God knew I could handle it. We all have the inner strength to pursue greatness, I had to find God and put The Lord first in all my affairs.

Daily Bible Quote

I’ve always believed in treating others the way I’d like to be treated and helping others when I can. The only problem was when I was in active addiction I didn’t treat myself well at all and I was taking care of myself. Self-pity and self-sabotage engulfed me daily. I had to find faith in God until I could find the faith within me to overcome my short comings.

Daily Bible Quote

Fear fueled my addiction for over a decade. I feared everything and I didn’t have a healthy relationship with God. Now that I have God in my life it gives me the fortitude to keep moving forward despite any challenges put in front of me.

I am blessed and grateful to have God in my life. He had faith in me when I had zero faith in myself.
